Meridian Turns One: Reflections & Gratitude
Reflecting on a Year at Meridian
As the seasons begin to shift, I’ve found myself pausing to reflect on what an incredible year it has been at Meridian Yoga & Pilates Studio. When I opened the doors, I dreamed of creating a space where people could come home to themselves. A place of calm, community, and connection in the heart of Glasgow’s East End. Looking back, I feel so grateful for how this vision has begun to take shape.
Navigating Challenges & Growth
This past year has also been one of personal growth. As many of you know, my journey with neurodiversity has shaped so much of how I show up in the world and in my teaching. There have been challenges along the way, but they’ve taught me the importance of balance, boundaries, and self-care. They’ve also given me a deep appreciation of creating a studio environment that is inclusive, flexible, and supportive of different ways of learning and being.
Community Highlights
Some of my favourite moments have been watching our community grow. Seeing new faces walk through the door, welcoming back familiar ones, and witnessing the connections that happen both on and off the mat. From yoga workshops to members events, from Pilates flows to upcoming teacher trainings, every class has added a thread to the tapestry of our wee community.
One thing I’ve loved most is hearing your stories. How you’ve used practice to find calm in busy lives, to build strength, or to feel more grounded. Your words and your presence are what keep the studio alive.
A Heartfelt Thank You
None of this would be possible without you, the students who roll out your mats, the teachers who bring wisdom and warmth, and everyone who has supported Meridian in big and small ways. Thank you for trusting me and for making this studio a part of your own journey.
Looking Ahead
As we move into the next chapter, I’m excited to deepen our offerings, grow our teacher trainings, and continue to hold space for practices that nourish mind, body, and spirit. My hope is that Meridian continues to be a sanctuary in Glasgow — somewhere you can always return to yourself.

We know how much you love our Pilates classes so to acknowledge this, and the launch of our Pilates Teacher Training in January, we have updated our logos to highlight that we are a Yoga and Pilates studio!
Here’s to the year ahead, and to all the moments of breath, balance, and belonging still to come.
With gratitude,
