Pilates Teacher Training Glasgow 2026

Train to be a Pilates Teacher in 2026 in the heart of Glasgow’s East End!

For some reason, people often think Pilates is a trend reserved for skinny, wealthy women.

Victoria Cunningham, founder of Ordinary People Academy, is passionate about breaking that stereotype — and she’s living proof that Pilates is for everyone.

The truth is, the more people Victoria can reach with this practice and message, the better the world will be.

You don’t need a dancer’s body. You don’t need to fall within a certain age bracket. And you definitely don’t need to be flexible. That’s the point of starting Pilates — to become stronger, healthier, and more at ease in your body. Not to already be there.

If you’ve ever experienced how Pilates can ease a sore back, open tight hips, support recovery from childbirth, aid sports performance, or help with injury rehab, then you already know its power.

And that’s exactly why this teacher training could be for you.

But here’s the thing: for so many people, that weekly Pilates class is the only hour they dedicate solely to themselves.

If you want to help others experience that kind of mind–body transformation, while deepening your own understanding of your body, this training is the next step.

Victoria has been a Pilates instructor for 19 years. When she first trained, she was the only participant with a yoga background. What she quickly discovered was that yoga and Pilates beautifully complement each other — but Pilates is what truly helped her connect with her core. It gave her a whole new level of body awareness, enhanced her personal yoga practice, and enabled her to move into postures she never could before. Most importantly, it made her feel stronger, more present, and more centred.

In 2011, Victoria became the first person in Northern Ireland to teach Level 3 Pilates training. Because she was ahead of the curve, she developed a unique, adaptable style — moving away from rigid, classical Pilates and creating an approach that is accessible to all. Her method has been especially effective for people living with Parkinson’s, MS, cancer, and for older adults.

At the heart of Victoria’s work is community — her classes create connection, while helping people feel better in themselves. And if that’s what you want to bring into the world, this Pilates teacher training is for you.
